The underdwelling: Damp proofed, Re- wired, Plastered out, central heating, new bathroom – should be ready before the month’s out.
Today I’ve been mostly tiling. I can’t recommend tiling in an empty house on a weekend highly enough – very few distractions.
Someone came round today showing an interest and there’s been 3 round this week making inquiries about the one above (which looks like it will sell any day).
The market is a different game now – it’s good to be on the selling end of it and not the buying. Most houses are going to best and final offers – I hope this one does.
I’ve not seen the market so strong since starting out renovating in 2012 – There’s just not enough houses to go round – too many people in this little island and it’s pushing the prices up. In the future it will be like Hong Kong and owning a property like this with plenty of space, a sunny garden and off road parking will be invaluable – not for me though – I’ll probably be long dead by then so for now I’ll take the money and run!
