Emergency call out to re-instate a consumer unit, meter and 100A fuse carrier

Cable tray and Shneider easy 9 consumer unit for the basement and some galv bulkhead wall lights thrown in for good measure

As we are all aware – we are on lockdown and not allowed to go to the seaside (unless your Scotlands chief medical officer) only in this case Slawit is not really by the sea its Slaithwaite – pronounced Slathwaite or Slawit locally or Slay-thwaite – in the style of a commer inner
It’s a messy job but someone’s got to do it – they asked for downlights and they shall have – by compliance with building regs which means braying holes all around said lights to allow for clearance before battening out and lowering new plasterboard ceiling between joists – a far cry from fanny by gaslight where lead pipe’s still in-situ.

Only just managed to grab this one in the nick of time – a day before lockdown

Just before lockdown I went down to Cornwall for a couple of jobs.
One was some EICR repairs on a beach chalet at my favourite place – Gwithian Towans

The other was a new build holiday chalet in Hayle just down the road from Gwithian and close to St Ives

Electricians : If you’ve not installed one of these Schneider Easy 9’s yet then you haven’t lived!
The chalet was still under construction at the time so I rigged up a temporary supply and went on my merry way.

Then over to Porth Meor at St Ives where the surf was pumping to grab some waves – happy days!
