EICR – EIC New fusebox Penzance

Original fuseboxes / wiring were installed in 1989 when the house was built, over 33 years ago. It all tested ok so all that was needed was a new consumer unit (fusebox). There were 2 fuseboxes before – 1 for the house electrics and one for the night storage heaters. The client has now done away with the off peak night storage and gone on to single rate and is having installed ecostrad ceramic core radiators – https://ecostrad.com/ecostrad-iq-ceramic-smart-electric-radiators/.

New consumer unit in Holmfirth

Another nice new consumer unit today in the centre of Holmfirth. Must be getting into double figures now with these Schneider Easy 9’s – or Peroni’s as I like to call them (if Carlsberg did fuseboxes then this would be a Peroni!).

Light testing kit

Designer light fittings are everywhere these days, along with screwless socket fronts, dimmers etc, It makes testing lighting circuits very difficult and time consuming. We’re always looking at ways to make life easier and get the job done quicker – and safer. It can be quite challenging trying to secure contact to live neutral and earth on a light fitting, then pressing the test button on the tester, whilst up a pair of ladders.

Solution! – light testing adapter kit

Bridging the N+E and using a remote tip for the L to carry out ZS (no trip) test

Consumer unit upgrade Holmfirth

Another EICR another consumer unit upgrade – not a bad start to the year all things considered.

If Carlsberg did fuseboxes

This would be a Peroni!

Electrical testing upgrades

A couple of recent electrical installation condition report upgrades

(New consumer units with all the latest B7671 compliances)

£600 gets it all done and dusted, 1/3 the price of a new boiler and every bit as legally compliant.
